The Technological University of Panama (UTP) is the highest-ranking state institution to higher education in scientific and technological concerns in Panama. Arises from the old School of Engineering at the University of Panama, which in 1975 became the Polytechnic Institute and, in need of a new university model, becomes the Technological University of Panama, Law 18 of August 13, 1981.
On October 9, 1984 is organized definitely Technological University of Panama, Law 17. Law 57 of July 26, 1996 makes changes and additions to the Law 17 of 1984.
Delivery to the nation of professionals is given without interruption from the Promotion, 1981. Currently the Upper House of Studies has graduated more than 43,000 professionals with their knowledge, skills and attitudes contribute to the development of the Republic of Panama. This school started with six runs and fifteen degree technical careers. Currently offers forty three runs for advanced studies, twenty and twenty undergraduate career technical courses.

Background - Faculty of Science and Technology
At the time of its creation, at the Technological University of Panama in August 1981, operated the following coordinates assigned to the Academic Vice-Rector: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Social Science, Spanish, English, Pedagogy, Psychology and Law. In 1985, a group of teachers took the initiative to merge all arrangements so that it could form a new Faculty. Thus, on 22 August of that year, appeared before the Academic Council the possible name: Faculty of Sciences, Natural and Humanities.

On July 26, 1996, after many efforts, the dream was crystallized around this area since the Legislature created by Act No. 57, Article 16 "The Faculty of Science and Technology" of the Technological University of Panama. On October 22, 1996 were selected early in the Faculty representatives to the governing bodies, and in late 1996, conducted the elections of Deans of different faculties. Our faculty, not to have the administrative structure had to postpone the election.
On April 3, 1997 the General Council approved the University administrative structure, as well as the incorporation of the Regional Centers and the administrators who work in the new coordinator. On July 15, 1997 elections were held to choose the officers of the Faculty. On July 25, 1997 the elected Vice-Dean and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, for the period 1997-2002, took over.

Bilingual Executive Bachelor Communication
1. Description
Bachelor's career Bilingual Executive Communication is the formation of a professional with a solid linguistic culture in both Spanish and English, with an academic profile based on modern advances in technology.
The thematic content of the various subjects of the curriculum will give you the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and skills that will lead to the formation of a full professional with extensive technical-scientific and humanistic.
2. Admission Profile
To enter the race, the candidate must hold a high school diploma issued by an official or private school joined the Ministry of Education, or unincorporated associations or foreign, provided that the duration of such studies is not less than five (5) years at the secondary level and are recognized by the Ministry of Education.
3. Entry Requirements
The admissions requirements for freshmen and students who have studied at a higher level are:
Freshmen:
Approve admission tests: Scholastic Aptitude Test (PAA).
To present the diagnostic test of English proficiency (Elash).
Take and pass Basic Mathematics course and academic and professional skills.
Comply with the requirements of the Seminar on Introduction to University Life.
Students who have studied at higher level (national or foreign universities):

Request the revenue recognition through a letter to the Secretary General of the Technological University of Panama (see Requirements for the Validation of Credit Processing).
Apply for revalidation until 30 days before the registration period.
Documents that will deliver the student to enroll:
Two (2) copies of the card (both sides) or birth certificate if not of legal age.
Two (2) copies of high school diploma (must bring the original copies to confront).
Original and copy of high school credits (from 7 ° to 12 ° year)
Two (2) passport size photos.
Two (2) copies of Certificate of Honorable Mention you are a student grant from the Technological University of Panama.
Important Note: These documents are delivered to the Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Science and Technology.
4. Graduate Profile

Note: These costs only cover tuition, diploma and graduate academic records. Not contemplate graduate work which is chosen by the student from several options once you complete the curriculum subjects (Thesis, Professional Practice, Graduate Materials). Do not include expenses for graduation and do not include the costs of diploma and graduate academic record of the plans that have intermediate technical title.
